The Business Magazine & Guests from this Years's Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards raises money for the Rainbow Trust

On behalf of us all at Rainbow Trust thank you to everyone at The Business Magazine for choosing Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity to be the beneficiary of The Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards 2008 on Thursday 20th November. It was a fantastic night and I was delighted to address the guests and tell them about the work of Rainbow, I think it made a huge difference to the funds raised. The money raised on the night totalled an amazing £2,364.90!

This money will allow us to continue to be there for families with children with life threatening or terminal illnesses that turn to us for help every day.

“When your world is turned upside down by having a child who is ill, sometimes you just need a friend and I count Rainbow Trust as very good friends.”

Our vision is that every family in the UK who has a child with a life threatening or terminal illness should have a Rainbow carer alongside them at times of crisis.

We are now caring for over 1,000 families through our network of Family Support Workers and at our respite homes in Surrey and Northumberland, however, there is an ever-increasing demand for our services. The care for each of these families is tailored to meet their own individual needs and is maintained for as long as they need it, sometimes over a number of years.

“I would like to thank all the people who give money to Rainbow because that means that you too are travelling by my side and other young people like me.”
Corrie-Anne, Age 18, Post Cancer Treatment

Thank you, we really do appreciate your support to the charity.

Kind regards
